Scarlett and her friend Cassidy hanging out in Sak's Fifth Avenue's Ladies Lounge. Looks like they may have expensive taste. This was our first big trip to the mall for actual shopping. Scarlett and Cassidy were great the whole day -- could it be because we shopped for them instead of ourselves.

Scarlett is excited about her new clothes and even better was that they were 75% off. She knows how to find a bargain and stretch Daddy's money.

Thanks to a co-worker of Gerry's for telling us about peditrician, Dr. Harvey Karp's book/DVD The Happiest Babies on the Block. Dr. Karp came up with methods on calming your baby. We utilize the Five S's to calm her down. As you can see his methods work like a charm.

Off to work

Well, I was a bad mommy. Yesterday we went to visit Daddy at work and mommy's work and wouldn't you know it, Mommy forgot the camera to capture the day. We'll just have to make another visit soon.
I took Scarlett to my work so my and Gerry's friends and co-workers can meet her. It was a big day for her. She did a great job. While at Daddy's office, she was so good. In fact, she fell asleep throughout the visit. Then it came time for me to take up to my office and she started to get fussy so Mommy had to feed her in her office.
We then headed over to the AT&T headquarters to visit other friends and co-workers. First stop was the executive floor to see Daddy's boss' assistant and possibly Daddy's boss if he was available. Well, lo and behold, she decided it was time to cry. Of all the floors for her to do that on. We left immediately and headed down to the 12th to visit Daddy's former assistant. Scarlett did much better, but finally had enough so Mommy had to take her to the bathroom to feed her.
We then headed to the 8th floor to visit our friend, Rich. She did fine because Mommy had to hold her to keep her calm. We then headed to the 6th floor where Mommy spends a lot of her time when over there to see Mommy's friends. While there, she decided we were going to change her twice in five minutes. Oh well!!
In the end, it was a very long day for Scarlett, but she prevailed. Next visit, we promise to have pictures.

Present

We are finally up-to-date. This photo was taken yesterday (Jan. 7, 2007). Scarlett is 5 weeks old and is enjoying her exercise mat.
As each day passes, I'm amazed on how much she changes and grows before my very eyes. It's both exciting and sad. I'm excited to see what she becomes, but sad to have her grow too fast. I wish I could slow down the clock.
